“Fashion is about going ahead, not about memory.”

Karl Lagerfeld is a genius and in my humble opinion, a non-conformist.

Just take a look at his amazing Chanel Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010/2011 collection at Grand Palais:

His collection of stunning proportions (short over long, cropped jackets with elbow-length sleeves and high-waisted, to the knee skirts) gives a sense of utilitarian boldness and severity. Those consistent black tip mid-calf boots deserves another post altogether…Oh, the drama!

And how could I not love the barely brushed bed-head hair and fresh faces on the runway and the Asian faces that rocked my personal favourite pieces in the collection!!

When people want to be liked for what they did, they should stop” – Karl Lagerfeld
